The weekend before Easter was full of Easter egg hunts. Mia had a hat parade and egg hunt at school, our church egg hunt, and a neighborhood egg hunt.
Easter weekend was busy, but fun. We tried hard to teach Mia the reason we celebrate Easter, and she can tell you the Easter story, and how Jesus died on the cross, was put in the tomb, and rose again on the third day! I just don't want all the festivities to overshadow the true meaning of Easter. Friday, Memaw, Paw Paw, Unkie, and Aunt Jen came and Daddy smoked a pork shoulder, which was really good! I don't think I've mentioned that Daddy got a smoker and has gotten really good at smoking meat. Everything he has cooked has turned out good so far. Mollie wasn't feeling very well that day, but we all still had a good time.
Saturday we were busy running errands and doing things around the house, and then we decorated eggs. Mia really enjoyed it. We got a new thing this year, where you put the eggs in and then pump it and it colors them. Mia really like that because she could do it herself and she didn't get dirty.
Sunday we went to church and then Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Greg, Aunt Nancy, Mackenzie, and Zach came over for lunch. We hid eggs for the kids and they had a good time.
Here are some pictures from the festivities:
The Easter hat parade at preschool. Mia's class is the Frogs.

Easter egg hunt at our church. We had to have it inside because they were calling for storms all day. That was the day that the terrible tornadoes came through our area. One went through my cousin Brad's neighborhood and they had a lot of damage, but thankfully they didn't get hurt.

The neighborhood egg hunt. It was during Mollie's nap time, so Mommy took Mia to the egg hunt and Daddy stayed home so Mollie could sleep.
