Beach Trip

Grandma's 60th birthday was May 27, so she and Grandpa came here that night and we all went out to an Indian place for dinner.  It was my first time eating Indian food, and I must say that it was not my favorite (or even close).  Then Saturday we headed out to the beach and had a great time!  The girls really enjoyed themselves.  Mia loved the pool and the rides at Broadway, and Mollie's favorite was riding around in the golf cart!  She also loved riding the carousel.  We also went to Daddy's favorite restaurant at the beach, Key West, to celebrate his birthday.    We came home on Wednesday, but Mia was having so much fun that she decided to stay the rest of the week with Grandma and Grandpa.  She got a life vest while we were there, and at first she wouldn't let go of anyone's hand.  By the time she got home, she was "swimming" all by herself with it on.  Maybe one day she'll learn to swim (or even put her head under for that matter) for real.

A cute picture of Mollie sleeping.  If only she slept like this at night!

Asheville Trip

We just got back from a weekend trip to Asheville to celebrate Aunt Jen's 30th birthday!  We left Thursday afternoon and came home Sunday.  We rented a house up on the mountain, which was really cool.  Friday we went to Biltmore.  We were afraid that Mia would be bored, but she loved it!  We ended up spending the whole day there, and I mean the whole day!  We got our money's worth, that is for sure.  Everyone was exhausted, but it was a great day.  Friday night, the guys went to the grocery store and on the way out, they saw a huge black bear!  It was at the stop sign right in someone's front yard.  I think it shook them up because they got in the house very quickly when they got home.  Saturday, the guys played golf and the girls just hung out at the house.  Then after they got back, we walked around downtown and ate at a really good restaurant called The Tupelo Honey Cafe.  Then we went back to the house and had a little birthday party for Aunt Jen.  We had cookie cake and she opened her gifts.  Sunday we headed home.  I hope Aunt Jen had as much fun as we did celebrating her birthday!

We are heading out of town again this weekend.  We are going to the beach for a few days to celebrate Grandma's 60th birthday.

Here are a LOT of pictures from our trip.  Sorry, I couldn't pick just a few so this will be picture heavy.  i might even have to blow a few of them up.  Mollie wasn't too into taking pictures, but Mia was all about it, so there are more of her....
