Pumpkin Patch

We decided to make a tradition of going to the pumpkin patch. We had a blast last year, and Mia had even more fun this year. She loved playing with the pumpkins, looking at all the animals, running through the hay maze, and climbing through a tunnel.

Pink Toes

On Labor Day, Chris had gone to help someone out that goes to our church, so Mia and I had fun painting her toenails. Now she constantly goes around saying "pink toes" and wants to show them to everyone. I think she's going to always want them painted because she loves them so much! She even sat still while I did it, and then used the hair dryer to dry them afterwards. She's such a girly girl! Chris wasn't too happy about it because he thinks she's still too young for that and said, "she's my little girl.....she's not supposed to have painted toenails!"

Daddy's too loud

We've been making some changes to the house lately, and Chris has been doing some beating and banging building stuff, etc. so Mia has started saying, "Daddy loud" and covering her ears.

No one can get any privacy around here these days, especially Aunt Jen. She can't even go to the bathroom without Mia hunting her down!

First time with Play Doh

Mia had her first experience with Play Doh recently. She thought it was cool, but apparently not cool enough for her to ask to do it again.

Will and Lindy's First Birthday

Will and Lindy turned one, and we got to celebrate their birthday with them! Many of you know them, or have prayed for them so I wanted to show pictures of their first birthday celebration. They have come so far and are the sweetest babies ever!

Mia has recently discovered stickers, and she loves to put them anywhere, especially on herself and us! The other day I went to run an errand and almost went out with stickers all over my shirt!

Fun with Friends

Recently we met my friend Wendy and her girls Riley and Berkley at the zoo. Then the next day we visited my friend Jamie and her babies Will and Lindy. Mia had a great time both days!

July 4th

For July 4th, our church had a get together out at Carter Finley Stadium, so we went out there with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Jennifer, and Uncle David. We had a good time, but right before the fireworks were supposed to start, it started storming! They had to cancel fireworks, and we were so bummed because Mia was so excited about it.
They rescheduled for the next night, so the 3 of us when back. This time it rained before and after, but we did get to see fireworks! Mia enjoyed them, but wanted to see them from inside the car since they were loud. I think she enjoyed messing with all the buttons in the car the most though. She still asks about the fireworks, so now she says, "Fireworks all gone."

Mackenzie's New Ride

Ok, so I've decided to write this from my (Mommy) perspective instead of Mia's. So from now on it will be in third person instead of first. Mackenzie got a brand new Escalade the other week and she let Mia ride in it! She's always been really good at sharing with Mia and this was no different. She even let Mia drive! Mia loved it! She couldn't touch the gas pedal, so Mackenzie did it for her while she steered. That thing even has a real radio, and Mia danced when the music was playing. The only problem was that Mia liked it so much that she threw a temper tantrum when it was time to go home! We've got our hands full......

First Trip to the Zoo

Mommy and Daddy took me to the zoo for the first time! I really had a good time! It was 100 degrees outside, so we didn't get to stay long, but hopefully we'll get to go back very soon. I liked all the animals, but was more concerned with their pools, and didn't understand why I couldn't get in too! My favorite animal was the giraffe! Mommy and Daddy even got me a stuffed one to take home.
