We have been busy around here, so I'm posting some pictures from the last month. Mollie is really growing. She is now smiling and laughing and I love it! I wish I could just bottle up that laugh! Mia is going to preschool three days a week and enjoying it. Daddy is staying busy with work, meetings at church, and softball two days a week. And Mommy is just busy taking care of everyone.
Uncle Jim and Aunt Cathie came from Michigan for a visit.
Memaw and Paw Paw went to Hawaii for their 40th anniversary and this is what they brought back for Mia.

Wow, time flies. I can't believe Mollie will be 2 months old this Thursday. She's growing so fast. She went for her checkup today and she is 11 pounds even and 23 1/2 inches long. That's 60% for weight and 90% for height. Mia was always at the bottom of the chart so this is new for us. The doctor said she is doing great! She had to get two shots and one oral vaccine. She didn't even cry for the first one! Her face turned bright red, but she didn't cry. She cried for the next one, but only for a second. What a big girl!
I will post some pictures when we get them uploaded from the camera.
I can't believe preschool has started back. Mia was very excited because she is a frog this year instead of a bear (her class last year). Her first day went great! We actually got there on time and Mia walked right into her class like a big girl. The first week we had to walk the kids into their classes, but this week we can drop them off in the carpool line if we want. Last year Mia wanted me to walk her in every day, but on Monday she asked me to drop her off. I did and she walked right in! After I picked her up, she asked if I would start dropping her off every day. I'm so proud of her!
We decided not to buy season football tickets this year since we knew we wouldn't get to go to all the games and it's a whole lot of money to spend. Daddy thought it would be fun to have some friends over and tailgate and watch the game at our house. We had a very good time and the weather turned out perfectly. The kids played outside while the men played corn hole and watched the games under the tent and the women stayed inside and talked. It was a great day! And the Wolfpack won!
Recently we made a visit to Asheboro for the day and Mollie got to meet her great grandfather, Big Paw Paw, as Mia calls him. We had a great visit and I think he enjoyed it too because he held Mollie the whole time we were there! We also had fun picking apples from his apple tree in the yard.
Everything is still going well in the Sellman house. Mollie is eating well and growing...when we took her for her two week appointment, she had gained a pound! So she was 8 lbs 5 oz. at birth, lost down to 7 lbs 12 oz and then was back up to 8 lbs 12 oz at 2 weeks. We are so thankful we haven't had feeding issues so far this time. Mollie is a very good baby and pretty much sleeps between feedings at night so we can get a little rest.
Mia is doing well adjusting to being a big sister. She is a big helper and really loves Mollie! Sometimes she loves her a little too much and we have to remind her (many times) to be gentle. But overall she is doing really well.
Mia enjoyed doing some cooking with Daddy while he was home for the week. They made a blueberry dessert, smoothies, and peach cobbler and it was all good!
Mia had to check on Mollie via the video monitor. She was talking to her and kissing the monitor.
Mollie did not enjoy her first bath...she pretty much cried the whole time and of course, Mia didn't like that! Good thing bath time has gotten better since that first one!
Mia telling us that she can't hear when Mollie is crying....
